GoldMine

Established in 1993, GoldMine was one of the first sales-force automation tools. More than one million users and 500,000 companies use the award-winning GoldMine, making it one of the most recognized brands in the CRM market. GoldMine is manufactured by FrontRange Solutions, which also makes the award-winning HEAT product used in many customer support centers around the world.

GoldMine is customizable, scalable to Microsoft SQL, offers web and thin-client access, and the ability to synchronize with remote laptops and handheld devices. It integrates with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, and links with two different customer support applications.

GoldMine also has extensive third-party development to provide additional functionality. These functions include faxing, quoting, e-mail broadcasting and links to various accounting databases. GoldMine's feature set offers a great value for your investment, and the program is the least expensive of the mid-market CRM products.

Sage ACCPAC CRM

Sage ACCPAC CRM is manufactured by Sage, the manufacturer of ACT, Sales Logix, Mas 90, ACCPAC, BusinessWorks and Peachtree Accounting, Abra human resource software, Timeslips and other products.

Sage ACCPAC is the only CRM product available as a hosted, monthly-fee or an installed product.  If you want to start off with the hosted model  and then switch to the installed version, Sage ACCPAC CRM gives you a FULL backup of your data — you can literally "plug and play" your installed version, with virtually no data conversion.  And if you convert to the installed version within the first year of hosting, Sage will rebate 50 percent of your hosted fees.

Sage ACCPAC CRM is customizable; runs on Oracle, Microsoft SQL and Linux; synchronizes to remote laptops and handheld devices; and integrates with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook. An integrated customer support module for ACCPAC CRM is also available.

Sage ACCPAC CRM is completely web browser-based. For many of Zemma Group's clients, this feature is attractive because of its ease of installation, anywhere anytime accessibility — even via web-enabled handheld devices — and ease of use and training.

Lastly, if you use ACCPAC's Advantage or Professional accounting products, Sage ACCPAC CRM has built-in integration. Built-in integration provides your team with easy access to both front-end CRM and back-end accounting information.

Microsoft CRM

Microsoft CRM is a newcomer to the CRM arena. The first version was released in March 2003, and the current version is 1.2. Version 2.0 is scheduled for release in mid- 2005.

Microsoft CRM is customizable and runs on Microsoft SQL, synchronizes to remote laptops and handheld devices, integrates with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, and offers an integrated customer-support module.

Like Sage ACCPAC CRM, Microsoft CRM is completely web browser-based. This feature simplifies installation, gives accessibility from anywhere, including web-enabled handheld devices, and ease of use and training because so many people are used to using a web browser.

Lastly, if you use Great Plains accounting, Microsoft CRM has built in integration through its BizTalk server. This provides your team with easy accessibility to both front-end CRM and back-end accounting information.
